The Japanese hatchback took the second place in the European ranking of sales in November 2020, while the Volkswagen Golf was the first.
Almost 20,000 people became owners of the Toyota Yaris in Europe – 29% more than in November 2019, according to JATO Dynamics’ data.
The Volkswagen Golf is a traditional leader in Europe. Almost 25,000 buyers chose the model. As for the Yaris, the change of generations is the obvious reason of its success on the market. It is ahead of the Renault Clio and Opel / Vauxhall Corsa.
Toyota officially unveiled the all-new fourth-generation Yaris last year. The model rides on the GA-B modular platform, which, in turn, was created to develop the Toyota New Global Architecture.
It is the GA-B that plays a key role in enhancing dynamic performance of the Yaris, providing a lower center of gravity and much greater body rigidity. It also allowed designers to create a more expressive and powerful vehicle with an appealing personality.
