The Toyota BZ crossover will make its debut on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at 9:20 p.m. at the Shanghai Auto Show.
The carmaker has developed this all-electric vehicle on a Toyota-Subaru electric architecture for the European market. Other markets, including the USA, will get their version too.
This crossover is coming to rival the Volkswagen ID.4, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and Tesla Model Y. It is the first in the row of a new ‘BZ’ (Beyond Zero) family of electric Toyotas which will include models of various body styles: crossovers, sedans, vans. Their names consist of a”BZ” lettering plus a number.
Recently the company filed trademarks for the names BZ1, BZ2, BZ2X, BZ3, BZ4, BZ4X, BZ5 in the United States. A blue BZ logo has been trademarked in Europe.
