The DS 4 has been unveiled this week and slated for a launch in Europe and China later this year.
The DS 4 is a rivaling model to the Audi A3 and the Mercedes-Benz A-Class. It has compact dimensions: 173.2 in long, 72.0 in wide, and 57.9 in tall.
Customers can choose from 3 petrol engines with 130, 180, 225 hp, a 130-hp turbo-diesel, and a plug-in hybrid E-Tense system with a total output of 225 hp. All DS4s come with an E-Toggle-controlled 8-speed automatic transmission.
Sharp lines, a coupe-like roofline; slim matrix lights, daytime running lights created by full 98 light-emitting diodes; a geometric body, specially designed wheels/tires to minimize air resistance – are distinct features of the car’s exterior.
The DS4’s suspension can adjust to information from a camera that scans the road surface.
There are three versions of the model: en elegant base one, a sporty Performance Line and a colour-contrasting Cross.
Crisp lines, crystal and glass elements, sophisticated materials (forged carbon fiber, ash wood, fish skin surfaces), French love for detail can be found in the cabin.
The DS4’s interior features a touch-sensitive center console, an advanced voice recognition system, a Focal-branded stereo system, a head-up display, an optional night vision system.
DS – PSA’s premium brand – will develop cars jointly with Alfa Romeo and Lancia. The first models should come by 2024.
