Car paparazzi’s cameras have recently caught a pre-production prototype of the Land Rover Defender during road tests.
A top version of the latest-generation Defender SUV is underway. It should debut in the second half of next year. The test car powered by a potent eight-cylinder engine has been spotted on public roads in Great Brintain, Auto Express informs.
The vehicle in the high-quality spy shots is the Defender 110. The Defender 90 in its performance iteration will probably arrive as well.
British journalists have revealed the 5.0-liter V8 with over 500 hp is mounted on the prototype.
The new Land River Defender is built on the all-new, super-rigid architecture that considerably simplifies the chassis tuning for the hot modification. The carmaker claims the Defender SVR will retain its high off-road potential.
