A van based on the legendary SUV will be presented at the end of 2020.
The commercial Defender, like the base model, will be available with a short and long wheelbase. Land Rover will revive the name Hard Top, which was first used by the British brand back in 1950.
The expected price is from 40,000 euros. The Defender Hard Top is designed to offer maximum cargo space along with premium features met in passenger cars.
The Hard Top models use independent coil spring suspension as standard. An electronic air suspension is an option for the larger 110 model.
The commercial Defender has a clearance of 291 mm, along with a 900-mm wading depth.
Hard tops have a towing capacity of 3500 kg and will have a number of systems that facilitate towing, including Advanced Tow Assist.
